Annual Convention

What is Annual Convention?

The National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (NFYFC) Annual Convention is the highlight of the YFC calendar for our members. More than 5,000 young farmers from across England and Wales gather together to celebrate being part of one of the largest rural youth organisations in the UK.

For many of our young farmers, it's a chance to take a much deserved break away from farming or rural life – and to socialise with old and new friends. As well as three night's of exciting evening entertainment, Convention also plays host to some of our national competition finals and an agricultural forum. We also hold our Annual General Meeting during the weekend's festivities, giving our members a voice on the future direction of this incredible organisation.

For 2018's unmissable event, we are heading to the fun packed seaside resort of Blackpool. We were based at the town's Winter Gardens from Friday 4 May to Sunday 6 May.

Radio 1 DJs

As well as some amazing house DJs and live bands, the Annual Convention attracts some of Britain's most renowned Radio 1 DJs every year. Check out this year's line-up!

Some of our most talented members battled for the big titles in a number of competitions across the weekend. We also held a Darts Competition on Saturday morning in the Winter Gardens as well as private interviews for the Senior Member of the Year  and stage interviews during the afternoon's Pantomime final. In addition to all of this, we will be holding the Jump Rope and Disco Dancing Competitions on Sunday afternoon.
