Security

Avoid carrying large amounts of cash with you and keep your valuables, wallets/purses and mobile phones safe. If you need a member of the NFYFC team, visit the Winter Gardens reception.

Drink Aware

If you are drinking alcohol during the weekend, know your limits, stay safe and look after each other. Download the MyDrinkAware app to find out more about drinking responsibly. Visit www.drinkaware.co.uk

Sexual Health

Make sure that you are fully aware of all of the facts relating to safe sex.

There will be a sexual health stand in the registration area, which will be manned by outreach workers from the local NHS Trust. Here you will find:

  • Pop up info banners detailing local services and support
  • Printed information leaflets on weekend clinics for STI / pregnancy testing and emergency contraception
  • Free condoms

You will also find more information about local sexual health and contraception services here.

Drive it Home

Time is the only cure if you've been drinking the night before. Research by road safety charity Brake found that Drivers in their 20s have the highest rates of both drink and drug driving crashes . Young drivers who crash are twice as likely to be impaired by alcohol as older drivers who crash,

In general, alcohol is removed from the blood at the rate of about one unit an hour. But this varies from person to person. So don't take the risk. Steer a safe course the morning after, and if you have any doubts at all about whether you're safe to drive, find another way to get around.
