86th Annual General Meeting

The NFYFC's Annual General Meeting will take place on Sunday 6 May 2018, and is an opportunity to review the previous year and look ahead to the future. Our National Chairman of Council for 2017 and our five Steering Group Chairmen will feed back on their achievements over the year.

Every NFYFC member is invited to attend the Annual General Meeting to be part of the proceedings and vote on any motions that are put forward. 

NFYFC President Charlotte Smith will chair the 86th AGM and all members are encouraged to attend on Sunday 6 May at 10.30am in the Pavilion. 

The Annual General Meeting is sponsored by Isuzu.

“That  Mrs Charlotte Smith be elected President from May 2018 - May 2019”

6.2 MOTION FROM NFYFC COUNCIL

“That a firm of auditors, Grant Thornton - Birmingham, be appointed for 2018 and that the Audited Accounts for the year-ending 31 December 2017 be adopted”

6.3 MOTION FROM NFYFC COUNCIL

“That the gross national subscription (NFYFC Levy) for the period 1 September 2018 to 31 August 2019 be increased by £5.00 per YFC member’’

AMENDMENT TO THE ABOVE MOTION FROM THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY FEDERATION OF YFCs

“That the gross national subscription (NFYFC Levy) for the period 1st September 2018 to 31st August 2019 be increased by £1.64 (10%) per YFC member”

6.4 MOTION FROM NFYFC COUNCIL

‘’That the assets and liabilities of the Federation be transferred to a company with charitable status having objects similar to those of the Federation by 1 January 2020’’
‘’That the proposed company is incorporated with the Articles of Association (Paper No 101-AR) and the Rules and Byelaws (Paper No 102-AR) circulated with the final agenda, subject to any amendments that may be required by the Charity Commission, Board of Management or Council to incorporate and register it’’

AMENDMENT TO THE ABOVE MOTION FROM THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY FEDERATION OF YFC’s

That the proposed company is incorporated with the Articles of Association (Paper No 101-AR) and the Rules and Byelaws (Paper No 102-AR) circulated with the final agenda, subject to any amendments that may be required by the Charity Commission, Board of Management or Council to incorporate and register it; with the exception of Rules and Bylaws Part 9, point 4 which be replaced with the following text:

Rules & Byelaws (Paper reference 102-AR) - Part 9 point 4:

Annual review of Gross Levy, Associate Subscription and School Club Subscription

Every year the Gross Levy, the Associate Subscription and the School Club Subscription will be

reviewed separately using the same process for each as follows

The Board will carry out a review and recommend a change or recommend that there is no change
Council will consider the recommendation of the Board and will either approve it or amend it. This approved or amended recommendation becomes the recommendation of council
Council will put its recommendation to the Annual Meeting of Clubs as a motion. The motion must be put to the Annual Meeting of Clubs even if the recommendation is that there is no change and the change must be expressed in monetary value and percentage terms
The Annual Meeting of Clubs will vote on the motion from Council:

If it is passed, then the recommendation of Council is adopted
If it is not passed then the recommendation is rejected and the decision of the Annual Meeting of Clubs is final
If an amendment is proposed and passed, then council must adopt the amendment
As soon as a change is adopted, that change is used in the next calculation of Levy
